In general, i would not advice downgrading, though. What plugins? Did you check the Trimble Extension Warehouse and SketchUcation Plugin Store or wherever you originally got them to see whether there are updated versions? For example, do you mean that the installer throws some kind of error, or that once installed the extensions themselves encounter errors? Thank you all! In any case, it is possible to have more than one version of SketchUp Pro installed concurrently.

Thanks for the rapid response! Okay I will try this again when I get home tonight. The OS Windows or macOS , not the application, maintains the recently opened list for each application. This is actually a good thing, because if you open a skp with and save it without explicitly selecting file format during the save, will no longer be able to read it. But your files have not been lost, you just have to choose Open and find them on your computer. Upgrade pro to pro SketchUp Pro. Thank you DaveR.
